Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting experienced and qualified Chemistry Teachers for day-to-day supply teaching and long-term contract opportunities across Bristol, Swindon, Somerset and Wiltshire from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to bring Chemistry to life by connecting chemical concepts with safe, purposeful practical investigation.

You will plan and deliver inclusive lessons, assess progress effectively and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

Qualifications

• QTS with Chemistry specialism (ECTs welcome).
• Experience teaching Chemistry up to KS4.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management.
• Strong communication, planning and assessment skills.
• Commitment to safe and purposeful practical work.
