Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a detail‑oriented individual to join the Blood Sciences Support Team at Frimley Park Hospital. The role focuses on processing and recording patient samples and supporting a busy pathology service with accurate data entry and communications.

No formal qualifications required, but excellent typing, attention to detail, and a cooperative, team‑oriented attitude are essential. The post is not a trainee Biomedical Scientist position.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English; reports understanding of pathology workflows.
• Excellent typing speed and high accuracy in transcription of results.
• Experience with e-mail and web browsers is desirable, plus ability to work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process and record patient samples, ensuring timely turnaround of Biochemistry referrals.
• Collate and distribute information to commercial customers by email or post, including weekends.
• Manage shared results inbox and respond to general queries; support 7-day service in BSPS network.
