Wye Valley NHS Trust in Hereford is seeking Bank Health Care Assistants to support the delivery of patient care across clinical areas. Join the Nurse Bank to train, develop skills and help provide a high standard of care, with flexible hours and opportunities to work in different departments.

You will be supported with induction, mandatory training and access to NHS Pension, with DBS check required. The role is paid at Band 2 (£25,272 pro rata) with shifts that fit around your life and the needs

Qualifications

• Diploma Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care required or equivalent.
• Demonstrates patient-focused approach and caring values.
• GCSEs in maths and English at minimum level.

Responsibilities

• To assist the registered nurse in the delivery of direct and indirect patient care
• To report any concerns to the registered nurse relating to standards of cleanliness, hazards and patient safety within the clinical area
• To ensure the registered nurse is regularly updated on patient’s condition and progress
• To ensure the equipment is clean and in good working order
• To ensure the environment is clean and tidy.
