Responsibilities
  • As a Fleet Commercial Underwriter working in our Leeds & Newcastle Branch, you will help drive and transform how we partner our broker portfolios, through responsive, flexible, and collaborative relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong broker relationships within the current commercial insurance market.
  • Leverage technical underwriting expertise and strong trading capability to support data‑driven decision making.
  • Utilise commercial awareness and negotiation skills to optimise risk and profitability.
  • Monitor account performance, conduct action planning and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience in a Fleet underwriting environment (with an insurer or a broker) is preferred.
  • Technical underwriting expertise and strong trading capability.
  • Commercial awareness, expert negotiation skills and ability to build excellent broker relationships.
  • Knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Developed analytical skills with proven experience of account monitoring and action planning.
  • Demonstrated resilience and ability to champion change initiatives.
  • Eligibility and authorisation to work in the United Kingdom.
