Responsibilities

  • Planning fleet maintenance, servicing, inspections, and repairs.
  • Ensuring compliance with MOT, ADR, VOSA, and safety standards.
  • Managing costs and finding ways to improve efficiency.
  • Planning and scheduling transport across the UK for bulk liquids and packaged materials.
  • Liaising with sales and customer service to meet client needs.
  • Supporting drivers and subcontractors in health & safety procedures.
  • Monitoring customer tanks and arranging deliveries or collections.

Overview

Fleet & Transport Coordinator. Location: Sunderand. Hours: Mon-Fri, 08:30-17:00 (with 1 in 4 weekends on call). Salary circa £35k.

Role

We’re looking for an organised and proactive Fleet & Transport Coordinator to join our team. This is a key position ensuring our nationwide fleet operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance with UK transport and ADR regulations. You will be the link between our drivers, hauliers, front office, and sales teams—keeping everything moving while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service.

  • Planning fleet maintenance, servicing, inspections, and repairs.
  • Ensuring full compliance with MOT, ADR, VOSA, and safety standards.
  • Managing costs and finding ways to improve efficiency.
  • Planning and scheduling transport across the UK for bulk liquids and packaged materials.
  • Liaising daily with sales and customer service to meet client needs.
  • Supporting drivers and subcontractors, ensuring health & safety procedures are followed.
  • Monitoring customer tanks and arranging timely deliveries or collections.
Ideal Candidate
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Experience in fleet management, transport planning, or logistics.
  • Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance schedules and UK transport legislation.
  • IT skills, ideally including SAP and Excel.
  • Excellent communicator, confident working under pressure.
  • CPC qualification (or working towards one) would be a plus.
  • Flexibility to support occasional weekend work
