The Fleet Technician role offers an excellent opportunity to work in the logistics department of a thriving business within logistics. Based at Heathrow, this permanent position involves maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repair and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement improvements to fleet operations.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding vehicle status and requirements.
  • Support the logistics department with any additional fleet-related duties as needed.
Profile
  • Previous experience working as an HGV and Trailer Mechanic/Technician
  • Fluent in road-worthiness and MOT testing standards
  • Experience of hydraulic systems (advantage)
  • IT literate; must be able to use email, Microsoft Office suite and have experience of using online portals/platforms
  • Experience of diagnostic equipment preferred
  • You will have a positive "can do" attitude and be able to work as part of a team
  • Minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
