Job summary

A leading consultancy firm is seeking a Fleet Support Admin Officer to provide administrative support to Fleet and Vehicle Workshops in Redcar. The ideal candidate will manage records and deliver excellent customer service. A good general education and previous clerical experience are required. The role offers a pay rate of £13.69 per hour for an anticipated 6-month duration.

Qualifications

  • Good general education including Maths and English at GCSE grade C or equivalent.
  • Previous experience of working in an administrative/clerical role.
  • Experience of cash handling.
  • Good computer skills – Word, Excel and Email.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day reception administrative support to Fleet and Vehicle Workshops.
  • Deliver a courteous, customer-focused approach to Fleet Reception.
  • Carry out general administrative duties using Agresso and MS Office applications.
  • Act as a central point of contact for end-to-end administration of basic processes.
  • Take and process departmental payments for MOT tests and repairs.
  • Ensure electronic payments are processed and returns are completed as required.

Overview

We are seeking a Fleet Support Admin Officer to provide administrative and clerical support to Fleet and Vehicle Workshops. The role requires excellent customer service and the ability to manage paper and electronic records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day‑to‑day reception administrative support to Fleet and Vehicle Workshops, maintaining paper and electronic records and filing systems.
  • Deliver a courteous, customer‑focused approach to Fleet Reception via face‑to‑face, telephone, email and site entry systems.
  • Carry out general administrative duties using Agresso, MS Office applications, specialised software packages such as Assetworks and MIDAS insurance database.
  • Act as a central point of contact for end‑to‑end administration of basic processes (MOT tests, DVLA/DVSA processes, vehicle taxation renewals, vehicle quotations, hire, disposals, tyre repairs, reservations, communications and data processing).
  • Take and process departmental payments for MOT tests, vehicle service and repairs.
  • Ensure electronic payments are processed and returns are completed as required.
