Job summary

MJ Quinn is seeking a Driver and Trailer Assessor in the UK with a focus on safety, compliance and coaching across a Knowsley-based fleet. The role involves driver assessments, telematics monitoring and dash camera setup, with travel required to multiple locations.

The successful candidate will have fleet operations experience, a valid UK driving licence and knowledge of transport legislation, delivering toolbox talks and improving driver performance.

Qualifications

• Experience within transport operations or fleet management.
• Strong communication and coaching skills with drivers.
• Good knowledge of UK transport legislation and fleet compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct driver assessments and provide coaching to improve safety and efficiency.
• Assess trailer operations, including coupling/uncoupling and loading safety.
• Monitor driver behaviour using telematics and dash camera footage.
• Produce performance reports and provide constructive feedback to drivers.
• Install and maintain telematics devices and dash cameras.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and liaise with suppliers as needed.
• Deliver Toolbox Talks and safety briefings to drivers and teams.
• Carry out vehicle walk-around inspections and defect reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, laws and fleet procedures.
