Be part of this 'once in a generation' project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable load low‑carbon electricity.

The Civil Works Alliance is an extended delivery enterprise involving Sizewell C and three international construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O'Rourke.

What you’ll be doing

The CWA Fleet Manager will initiate and coordinate fleet operations during the enabling works phase of the project. Based at the site project office in the ACA.

The Fleet Manager will be responsible for the mobilisation, inspection, and management of all fleet vehicles on site. They will ensure all vehicles are maintained, compliant and safe to operate within the project environment. They will act as the central point of contact for the delivery team regarding all fleet‑related matters and will report directly to the CWA Plant Operations Manager.

The Fleet Manager will also develop and implement fleet procedures aligned with the CWA system of work including the roll‑out of a chosen telemetry system. They will report to the CWA Plant Operations Manager.

The fleet Manager will coordinate vehicle assets and maintenance activities across the project, including but not limited to:

  • Understand fleet requirements in both short‑ and long‑term phases of the project.
  • Issue fleet procedures to roll out the CWA fleet system of work, covering both owned and hired vehicles.
  • Define standard vehicle specifications and operational requirements based on the project’s needs.
  • Monitor fleet utilisation and maintain accurate records of usage, maintenance, and downtime.
  • Conduct regular vehicle audits and maintain checklists for compliance and performance.
  • Support delivery teams in producing fleet forecasts and liaise with suppliers and the project’s procurement team for sourcing and scheduling.
  • Promote and maintain good working practices in fleet utilisation and safety.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to monitor fleet performance and availability.
  • Resolve fleet‑related issues or delays impacting project delivery.
  • Champion continuous improvement and promote best practices in fleet management.
  • Insurance and warranty administration, ensuring all fleet assets are appropriately covered and documentation is maintained in accordance with project and organisational standards.
  • Co‑ordinate driver training programmes and competency assessments, verifying that all personnel operating fleet vehicles meet required safety and operational criteria.
  • Manage and enforce fleet related policies, ensuring alignment with corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
