Job summary

Allports Group is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our fleet maintenance cost control and compliance operations for 1,400 vehicles and trailers. You will lead maintenance controllers, manage service intervals, estimates, and approvals, and ensure excellent customer service while maintaining regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes cost efficiency, collaboration with the Fleet Engineer, and driving uptime across our continued vehicle operations.

Qualifications

• Experience within commercial vehicle maintenance or a similar role within the transportation industry.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Tenacious attitude to see all tasks through to completion.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Customer focused and driven on providing an outstanding customer experience.
• Proficiency in using systems and following processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee vehicle maintenance cost control and compliance.
• Manage service intervals, estimates and approval.
• Approve invoices and supplier invoices in line with SLA’s with Fleet Engineer.
• Coordinate recovery and VOR time to minimise downtime and costs.
• Lead and develop the maintenance controllers and planners team.
• Deliver an outstanding customer experience in all interactions.
