A local government authority in England is seeking a motivated individual for a fleet management role, focusing on vehicle and driver compliance. The successful applicant will be responsible for monitoring vehicle and driver behaviours, ensuring compliance with legal standards and maintaining high operational performance.
They will lead the development of fleet and driver policies, collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance efficiency, and conduct accident investigations with clear recommendations.
The post holder will also act as the Authorised Examiner Designated Manager (AEDM), managing the Vehicle Testing Station (VTS) at Makerfield Way Depot, ensuring all documentation and procedures meet the legal requirements set by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
