Job summary

Evolve Talent Search Ltd is seeking a skilled Fixed Wire Tester to join our electrical team. You will perform EICRs and remedial works across multiple sites within the Yorkshire region, in a mobile role offering overtime opportunities and a supportive team environment.

Candidate must have City & Guilds 2391, 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3, and a Full UK driving licence. Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Fixed Wire Testing within a commercial environment.
• City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent).
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Fixed Wire Testing and EICRs across commercial environments.
• Undertake electrical inspection, testing and remedial works.
• Create remedial work reports and documentation.
• Maintain accurate certification and job records.
• Work independently while liaising with the wider team.
• Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.
• Provide a professional service to clients and maintain strong customer relationships.

Job description

Job Title: Fixed Wire Tester / Fixed Wire Test Electrician

Location: Within 30 Miles of Bristol

Salary: £50,000 per annum + Company Van

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:00 - 21:00 (Hours after 17:30 paid at x1.5)

The Role

We are currently seeking a skilled Fixed Wire Tester / Fixed Wire Test Electrician to join our specialist electrical team working across multiple sites within the Yorkshire region. This is a mobile role offering excellent overtime opportunities and the chance to work within a supportive and experienced team.

The successful candidate will carry out Electrical Inspection & Testing (EICR) and remedial works, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard and in line with current regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Fixed Wire Testing and EICRs across commercial environments
• Undertake electrical inspection, testing and remedial works
• Ensure all work complies with BS7671: 18th Edition wiring regulations
• Create remedial work reports and documentation
• Maintain accurate certification and job records
• Work independently while liaising with the wider team
• Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures
• Provide a professional service to clients and maintain strong customer relationships
• Maintain personal and company vehicle records
