This long term investment will create skilled jobs and strengthen collaboration with academic, NHS, and government partners. We welcome experts ready to help expand access to life saving vaccines. Join our Warehouse and Logistics Operations team at Harwell as an individual contributor, playing a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow, control and availability of materials supporting our cutting‑edge mRNA manufacturing operations. Working in a fast‑paced, highly regulated GMP environment supporting continuous site operations, you will combine hands‑on warehouse execution with SAP inventory management, quality documentation, material control and logistics coordination. This 12‑month fixed‑term opportunity will build your expertise in pharmaceutical supply chain operations while giving you exposure to Moderna’s digital‑first operating model, advanced data‑driven tools and opportunities to get closer to Generative AI‑enabled ways of working.

Here’s What You’ll Do:
  • Receive inbound deliveries and verify shipments against purchase orders, delivery documentation and associated paperwork, ensuring materials entering the Harwell operation are accurately controlled.
  • Review delivery documentation for accuracy and completeness, proactively obtaining any missing documentation required to verify incoming materials.
  • Upload, maintain and control delivery and inventory records within Moderna’s quality management systems in accordance with GMP requirements.
  • Pick, verify and prepare warehouse materials to meet manufacturing requirements and operational schedules, helping ensure materials are available when needed to support continuous site operations.
  • Learn and implement Moderna’s internal procedures for material labeling, handling, storage and movement, maintaining compliance with safety, quality and operational standards.
  • Support broader logistics activities across the Harwell site, including outbound shipments, deliveries and coordination of material movements.
  • Complete all required departmental and operational training programs, building the proficiency required to operate independently across warehouse and logistics activities.
  • Independently coordinate deliveries to internal customers, ensuring requests are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Execute daily SAP transactions to maintain inventory accuracy and enable effective operational workflows.
  • Perform daily warehouse cycle counts and inventory reconciliations, investigating and supporting the accurate control of stock.
  • Efficiently manage the segregation and control of expired materials in accordance with site procedures and quality requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date inventory records within SAP and support inventory management best practices.
  • Partner closely with manufacturing and operational teams at Harwell to ensure materials are available at the right time to support continuous operations.
  • Contribute as an individual contributor within a highly collaborative environment focused on operational excellence, quality compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Gain exposure to Moderna’s digital‑first operating model, including technology‑enabled warehouse processes and advanced digital and data‑driven tools supporting manufacturing operations.
  • Build familiarity with emerging Generative AI‑enabled tools and ways of working, exploring how new digital capabilities can support greater efficiency, learning and operational decision‑making within an appropriately controlled environment.
Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications):
  • Educated to a high standard.
  • Experience working in GMP or GDP operations.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management systems.
  • 2+ years of experience in Warehouse Operations.
  • Experience working within a highly regulated industry, pharmaceutical environment or related field.
  • Ability to lift and move products as required as part of warehouse operations.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office and relevant operational tools, including SAP, Smartsheet, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to be flexible when required to meet operational needs.
  • A collaborative and customer‑focused attitude.
  • A can‑do approach.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A desire to make an impact as part of a high‑growth, transformational company that is Bold, Relentless, Curious, and Collaborative.
