Fixed Term Salaried GP (view to permanent after end of fixed term)

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic General Practitioner to join our dedicated and friendly team. This role is offered as a Fixed Term Salaried GP position, with a potential view to permanent contract at the end of the fixed term period.

Main duties of the job
  • The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
  • The provision of services commensurate with the primary care contract
  • Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
  • Effective management of long-term conditions
  • Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
  • On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
  • Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
  • Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
  • Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
  • Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
  • Contribute effectively to the development and maintenance of the practice including clinical governance and training
  • Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
  • Prepare and complete the revalidation process
About us
  • We are a welcoming and well-established practice comprising 4 GP Partners and 4 Salaried GPs.
  • We have GPs with special interest(s) in Diabetes, Paediatrics, ENT, Gynaecology & Womens health, Medical Education and Mental Health.
  • We have 3 GP Trainers. As a large training practice, we have a strong focus and pride on medical education and host FY2 doctors, GP trainees, and medical students.
  • Our own Practice clinical team includes 2 Practice Nurses, 2 Clinical Pharmacists, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Healthcare Assistants, and GP Assistant.
  • We have dedicated Acute Visiting and Frailty Teams, resulting in minimal home visit requirements, which are typically pre-planned.
  • GP assistant fully support duty doctor cover days
  • Rated GOOD by the CQC.
  • We use EMIS, Accurx, Patches and eConsult systems.

We support newly qualified GPs, offering a varied and fulfilling portfolio of work tailored to individual interests and career goals.
