Job Overview

This warm family of four are requiring some help in the care of their 2‑year‑old little girl. Mum is expecting their 2nd baby (c‑section) so would like someone understanding, sensitive to the family’s needs and confident in caring for a 2‑year‑old. Dad will be at home but he is unable to lift/carry the child. It would be great to find someone who is happy to muck in as and when needed with the childcare, taking the girl to nursery and helping around the home to make the transition from a family of 3 to a family of 4 as smooth as possible. Baby experience is not essential as Mum is going to be caring for the baby but there may be times when some assistance is required and some general help with light household duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily care of a 2‑year‑old child, including preparing activities and engaging in play
• Take the child to the park and to nursery when required
• Muck in with childcare and light household duties to support the family during the transition
• Work mornings 8am‑1pm with flexibility for additional hours or some afternoons

Job Details

• Location: Bath
• Start date: 13th November
• End date: 3rd December
• Days of work: Monday – Friday (some weekends if possible)
• Hours of work: 8am‑1pm
• Pay: £20 gross per hour, dependent on experience

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in childcare
• Paediatric First Aid Certificate (12 hours)
• Up‑to‑date enhanced eDBS certificate registered on the Updated DBS service
• At least two professional referees, one of whom must be the current or last employer
• Current driving licence not essential, but availability of transport considered a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours and some weekends if required
