Job summary

The Bridge at Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Housekeeper to join the service in Middlesbrough. You will clean wards, offices, bedrooms and visitor areas, working with the maintenance team to keep all areas spotless and safe.

Training is provided to help you start and grow in a role that supports vulnerable people and helps change lives for the better. You’ll be part of a dedicated team, with opportunities for development, a DBS disclosure, and access to a wide range of courses and benefits

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience in a similar environment.
• Be a good communicator.
• Have good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security standards of the hospital by following policies and procedures.
• Be an active member of the housekeeping team with day-to-day responsibilities.
• Maintain telephone etiquette and greet visitors professionally.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with staff, visitors and service users.
• Help create a positive culture and undertake tasks appropriate for the post.
• Attend mandatory training annually as required by Elysium Healthcare.

You will be an integral part of the housekeeping team at a service for The Bridge where you will be responsible for cleaning all areas of the service, including wards, office spaces, bedrooms and visitors area. Working closely with the maintenance team you'll ensure all areas of the service are spotless and be able to confidently deliver high standard cleaning services. You'll receive all necessary training to get you started and join the dedicated team, where you can make a positive difference and be part of changing lives for the better. As a Housekeeper you will be:

• Maintaining required security standards of the hospital by following relevant policies and procedures as defined by the Hospital.
• An active member of the team with a range of responsibility over the day-to-day operation.
• Maintaining excellent telephone etiquette and ability to meet and greeting visitors in a professional manner.
• Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all staff, visitors and service users.
• Helping create a positive culture.
• Undertaking any other tasks requested that are appropriate for the post.
• Attending mandatory and statutory training on an annual basis as required by Elysium Healthcare. Have previous experience of cleaning within a similar environment
• Enjoy cleaning and get satisfaction from a job well done
