Travis Perkins is hiring for a Hire Fitter/HGV Class 2 Driver in Wimborne, Dorset. This full-time on-site role offers a competitive salary, a bonus and benefits package, and opportunities for career growth. Location: Wimborne, Dorset (Ferndown Industrial Estate, BH21 7PF).

Hours: 44.5 hours per week, including alternate Saturday mornings. Reference number: 52310. You will test, repair and prepare hire equipment, deliver and collect items, and build strong customer relationships while upholding

Qualifications

• Experience in the plant and hire industry or knowledge of electrical, petrol or diesel equipment is helpful but not mandatory.
• Strong customer-service, sales or communication skills are required.
• Mandatory: A full clean UK driving licence.
• Must be adaptable, resilient, energetic and comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Aim to build a long-term career within a large PLC.

Responsibilities

• Test, repair and prepare hire tools and equipment so they are safe, compliant and ready for customers.
• Support the Hire Manager with the day-to-day operation of the department.
• Deliver and collect a wide range of tools and equipment.
• Build strong customer relationships, understand their needs and offer expert advice.
• Follow all safety procedures, audits and compliance requirements.
