We are looking for a Fitter to join a growing business in the Wigan area.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a clean, modern workshop environment for a company that is excelling in its industry and has a strong order book for the upcoming year.

The Fitter role would be fully workshop-based Monday to Friday , in the Wigan area, the role is commutable from Warrington, Wigan, St Helens and other surrounding areas, in a perfect location just based off M6 motorway.

Duties of the Fitter role:

  • Carrying out a range of electrical and installation tasks as required – Crimping, soldering, terminating wires.
  • Assisting with the assembly and fitting of components and equipment.
  • Following technical drawings
  • Measuring and cutting materials accurately
  • Using a variety of tools and workshop equipment to perform day-to-day duties.
  • Checking completed work to ensure it meets expected quality standards.
  • Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues in a busy workshop.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a proven background in mechanical or electrical assembly or have proven hands-on experience in a practical trade, such as window, door, or kitchen fitting, joinery, or similar installation-based work.

A strong understanding of working with tools, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality craftsmanship would be highly beneficial. This role is suitable to someone looking for a new step in their career and growing into a company that offers support and growth opportunities.
