Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking an experienced Rolling Stock Fitter to join a busy workshop on vehicle and bogie overhauls. You'll read engineering drawings, use hand and power tools, and carry out quality checks to ensure assemblies align precisely.

Working on large-scale engineering projects, you will operate on a day shift from 7:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a long-term contract running through to December 2027.

Qualifications

• Proven Mechanical Fitter experience in a technical or production environment.
• Experience working on vehicles, rolling stock, coaches, heavy engineering or similar.
• The ability to confidently read and work from engineering drawings.
• Strong hand and power tool skills.
• A keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset.
• Experience in rail, aviation, military, marine or heavy vehicle sectors (desirable).
• Basic electrical schematic reading skills (a bonus, not essential).

Responsibilities
