Job summary

JD Gyms Southampton is seeking a motivated Fitness Coach to create a welcoming member experience on the gym floor, lead group classes and inductions, and assist prospective members with joining. You will support brand standards, safety, and club cleanliness while collaborating with the team.

The role emphasizes engaging members, delivering tours, running inclusive classes, and contributing to a high-quality gym environment with strong service feedback.

Qualifications

• Must be Level 3 Personal Trainer or equivalent.
• Passion for fitness, wellbeing and helping people.
• Flexible with hours and a team player.
• Able to engage with members and deliver classes.

Responsibilities

• Place member experience at the heart of every interaction and engage with members on the gym floor.
• Deliver welcoming tours to prospective members in line with JD Gyms brand standards.
• Lead engaging and inclusive group exercise classes.
• Conduct member inductions and ensure they are informative.
• Assist prospective members with joining JD Gyms as needed.
• Perform club standards checks and maintain accurate records.
• Provide ad hoc member support and maintain high club cleanliness.

Through member engagement, gym inductions, group exercise classes and maintaining high club standards, you will help deliver an exceptional member experience. Responsibilities:• Places member experience at the heart of everything you do by constantly engaging with members on the gym floor.• Deliver welcoming and engaging prospective member tours in the club, in line with JD Gyms brand standards.• Deliver engaging and inclusive group exercise classes.• Deliver engaging and informative member inductions.• Support prospective members with joining JD Gyms as required.• Conduct club standards checks across the club, ensuring results are recorded accurately and in line with JD Gyms record keeping procedures.• Provide ad hoc support to members as required or observed• Ensure that club cleanliness standards are maintained to the highest level as set out by the Gym Management and Operations team.• Maintain excellent brand standards at all times, ensuring the club is safe and compliant with all health and safety action points.• Monitor our service delivery through our performance and member feedback.• Work safely and in accordance with company policies, procedures and relevant legislation at all times.• Support energy efficiency, environmental initiatives and responsible waste management practices across the club.• Analysis and presentation of key data to support new ideas / initiatives / proposed developments.
