Job summary

JD Gyms is seeking energetic fitness professionals to join its expanding UK gym network. The role is part-time (12 hours/week in three 4-hour shifts) with an employment contract and a monthly rent for running a self-employed PT business from the same gym, drawing on thousands of member leads.

Responsibilities

• Engage with members to deliver a welcoming, high-quality experience.
• Lead and deliver group exercise classes and member inductions.
• Maintain club standards, cleanliness, and safety across the gym floor.
• Support prospective members with joining JD Gyms as needed.
• Conduct routine club standards checks and assist with data management.

Firstly, you will be employed by JD Gyms on a part-time basis (12 hours a week) completing 3 x 4-hour shifts as a Fitness Coach, with a monthly salary. JD Gyms prides itself on its management career progression programmes, which will help you develop your leadership skills and prepare you for the next steps in your career. Separately, outside of your employed hours as a Fitness Coach, you will pay rent on a monthly basis, and run your self-employed Personal Training business from the gym in which you are based, giving you access to thousands of leads in the form of current members and new members that join on a daily basis. We also have an internal dedicated PT Business Support team to help you build and grow a successful PT business.

Role overview

As a member of the JD Gyms team, you will play an important role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for members during every visit. Through member engagement, gym inductions, group exercise classes and maintaining high club standards, you will help deliver an exceptional member experience.

Responsibilities

• Places member experience at the heart of everything you do by constantly engaging with members on the gym floor.
• Deliver welcoming and engaging prospective member tours in the club, in line with JD Gyms brand standards.
• Deliver engaging and inclusive group exercise classes.
• Deliver engaging and informative member inductions.
• Support prospective members with joining JD Gyms as required.
• Conduct club standards checks across the club, ensuring results are recorded accurately and in line with JD Gyms record keeping procedures.
• Provide ad hoc support to members as required or observed
• Ensure that club cleanliness standards are maintained to the highest level as set out by the Gym Management and Operations team.
• Maintain excellent brand standards at all times, ensuring the club is safe and compliant with all health and safety action points.
• Monitor our service delivery through our performance and member feedback.
• Work safely and in accordance with company policies, procedures and relevant legislation at all times.
• Support energy efficiency, environmental initiatives and responsible waste management practices across the club.
• Analysis and presentation of key data to support new ideas / initiatives / proposed developments.
