Job summary

GLL is seeking a Fitness Class Instructor to deliver high-energy classes at York Leisure Centre. You will lead Pilates, Yoga, Aqua, and other formats, bringing energy, passion and motivation to every session.

Role emphasizes safety, customer service, and the ability to adapt for all ages and abilities while contributing to a vibrant timetable and career progression within the leisure sector.

Qualifications

• Must hold Exercise to Music Level 2 and/or Fitness Instructor Level 2.
• Ability to deliver safe, high-energy classes for various ages and levels.
• Strong customer service mindset and great teamwork.
• Excellent communication and energy to motivate participants.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective fitness classes across Pilates, Yoga, Aqua, and more.
• Provide fun, engaging sessions and maintain high class quality.

GLL is looking for Fitness Class Instructors to work at York Leisure Centre, York. If you have the passion, skills and ambition to join us as a Fitness Class Instructor, there’s never been a more exciting time to join us. This is more than a Fitness Class Instructor job, it's a career.

We are looking for instructors to cover various classes such as Pilates, Yoga, Aqua Workout, Body Pump, Dance Fitness. Rate of pay depends on your qualification.

The role of the Fitness Class Instructor will be a constant performance! The Fitness Class Instructor will be required to deliver both freestyle and performance driven classes. Each class delivered by the Fitness Class will be full of energy, passion and fun. Adapting the classes to cater for those focused on results the Fitness Class Instructor will delivered and inspire a strong class to ensure the goals are achieved, whilst in a freestyle class the Fitness Class Instructor will use musicality, energy and engagement for a party atmosphere. Whichever class is being taught the Fitness Class Instructor will be an awesome addition to any timetable.

What you’ll do:

• The ability to deliver a safe and effective class
• Consistently perform a fun, enthusiastic, high quality class
• Adapt, progress and regress where required for all ages and levels
• Inspire all customers, through class delivery and the transferring of energy and motivation
• Ensure all customer expectations are exceeded
