Fitch Learning is currently seeking a Content Editor based out of our London office.

Role and impact

The Content Editor role spans all products within the Fitch Learning catalogue and oversees the entire content production journey from authoring through to being learner-ready.

Responsibilities
  • Produce clear content briefings for authors and ensure requirements are met.
  • Manage the production process from receipt of authored material to final learner-ready output.
  • Manage content across a variety of software platforms.
  • Manage third-party content production partners.
  • Distribute work across internal content administrators and external production partners.
  • Oversee both manual and automated quality control processes for produced content.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and enhance the content production process.
What would make you a good fit
  • Work with the Content Director, program managers, client relationship managers, and other stakeholders to understand, interpret, and document content requirements and standards.
  • Translate product or client requirements into learning and exam content specifications (e.g., technical coverage, complexity, target audience).
  • Create and maintain clear documentation to serve as control sheets for content production.
  • Work with the Content Director to commission authors, providing clear and concise instructions on requirements.
  • Produce thorough briefing documents and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Maintain strong relationships with authors and actively manage deliverables and output quality.
  • Manage content within necessary systems, ensuring integrity, quality, and version control.
  • Handle high volumes of content, cataloguing existing materials and identifying gaps across formats (questions, slides, study notes, e-learning audiovisual recordings).
  • Conduct analysis auditing and controlling content to ensure consistency across media.
  • Oversee version control to ensure correct materials are processed and published.
  • Manage the production process from receipt of authored material to learner-ready delivery.
  • Ensure appropriate systems support the content production process and manage these systems with relevant third parties.
  • Document production processes and make them accessible to the internal content team and wider business.
  • Work closely with the Content Director to ensure the end-to-end content management process is effective and efficient.
  • Manage third-party content production partners.
  • Lead origination and onboarding of new partners with diverse production capabilities.
  • In partnership with the Content Director, ensure value for money from third-party providers.
  • Monitor quality, escalate concerns, and track spend against budget, reporting to the Content Director and content managers.
  • Distribute work among the internal team and content production partners.
  • Track incoming content production tickets and allocate to content administrators or third-party partners.
  • Serve as the point of escalation for timeline or quality issues on production tickets.
  • Oversee both manual and automated quality control methods for produced content.
  • Collaborate with Content Managers to define and implement appropriate QA controls—both manual and automated.
  • Improve and enhance the content production process.
  • Provide regular reporting to stakeholders on production volumes, costs, and quality.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to optimize workflows.
Qualifications and desirable experience
  • Experience working within financial services and strong familiarity with financial terminology (essential).
  • Content management experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a content management environment, with familiarity in version control, content workflows, and content management.
  • Ability to follow processes efficiently and attentively in a high-volume, multi-lingual content environment.
  • Technical literacy, including strong Excel skills (formulas and basic data analysis) and the ability to quickly learn a range of proprietary systems.
  • Desirable:
  • Experience working with learning or exam content.
  • Experience with assessment software.
  • Project management experience.
