Job summary

Sunseeker International in Poole is seeking a skilled Fit-out Carpenter to join our luxury yacht production team. You will deliver bespoke carpentry work across cabins, kitchens and bathrooms, working with a range of timber, sheet materials and fine wood finishes on premium boats.

The role requires accurate measuring, scribing, cutting to tight tolerances, and installation of mitre joints by hand and machine.

Qualifications

• hold previous, relevant, bespoke, and varied work experience in a domestic or site carpentry environment.
• have undertaken bespoke carpentry work packages, using a variety of hand and power tools and a range of materials, including pre‑finished surfaces
• confidently measure, scribe, and cut a variety of sheet materials to an impressive tolerance of 0.5mm, within abstract and irregular frames.
• deliver accurate and well‑presented mitre joins by hand and by machine, ensuring grain match and applying appropriate adhesives or fixings.
• plan projects using scaled drawings to reduce waste, damage, and cost to drive success against targets.
• aspire to drive their progression through the Sunseeker leadership structure.

Sunseeker Carpenters deliver bespoke carpentry work packages either individually or within small teams throughout our luxury cabins, modern kitchens and spacious bathrooms whilst working with a wide variety of timber, sheet materials and high quality wood finishes. Even when specialising on one specific boatline, our unrivalled levels of customer variation means that a Sunseeker Carpenter will soon collect their own inspiring story to tell.

Suitable candidates will:

Our working patterns

• Day Shift | Monday-Friday, 07:00-15:30

Our pay rates

• Basic hourly rates from £14.42 to £16.53, depending on experience
• Overtime rates of up to £24.79 (x1.5 rate) and £33.06 (x2 rate, Sundays/Bank Holidays) - please note that Overtime is not guaranteed and it is allocated based on business needs at the time
