Job summary

Nottingham Forest FC is seeking a Recruitment Analyst to join the scouting department at The Nigel Doughty Academy in Nottingham. You will own a specific positional group across Senior and Emerging Talent pathways, supporting transfer window strategy and the department's day-to-day operations, including video content and dossier compilation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a competitive first-team recruitment environment.
  • Demonstrable track record in player analysis with strong position-specific tactical understanding.
  • Proven ability to produce clear, well-structured reports and dossiers.
  • Working knowledge of platforms such as Wyscout, SkillCorner and StatsBomb.
  • Strong research capability across market trends and positional requirements.
  • Ability to manage a demanding workload and perform under pressure.
  • Proficient in written and verbal English communication.
  • Proficient in Hudl Studio or similar video editing software for clip libraries and playlists.

Responsibilities

  • Lead scouting coverage for assigned positional groups, filtering and prioritising targets.
  • Research, track and evaluate prospective transfer targets throughout the window.
  • Compile detailed player dossiers, written reports and supporting video content to inform recruitment decisions.
  • Attend domestic and international fixtures as part of ongoing live scouting work.
  • Build and maintain a network of contacts within the football industry.
  • Maintain scenario-specific shortlists, kept regularly updated and ready to deliver to support recruitment decisions.
  • Contribute to department operations, including platform management and internal reporting processes.
  • Work collaboratively within the wider scouting team and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.

About the Role:

Nottingham Forest FC are seeking a Recruitment Analyst to join the scouting department, supporting the full player identification, analysis and reporting process. Reporting to the Lead Recruitment Analyst, the successful candidate will take ownership of a specific positional group across both Senior and Emerging Talent pathways, contributing directly to transfer window strategy and the department's day-to-day operations. The role also carries responsibility for the technical production of player presentations, including video content and dossier compilation.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

What are we looking for:

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working within a competitive first-team recruitment environment.
  • Demonstrable track record in player analysis, with strong position-specific tactical understanding.
  • Proven ability to produce clear, well-structured reports and dossiers.
  • Working knowledge of industry-leading platforms such as Wyscout, SkillCorner and StatsBomb.
  • Strong research capability across market trends and positional requirements.
  • Ability to manage a demanding workload and maintain performance under pressure.
  • Proficient in written and verbal English communication.
  • Proficient in Hudl Studio or comparable video editing software, including the creation of clip libraries and playlists for the players under assessment.

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. sports science, data analysis, performance analysis).
  • Existing network of contacts within the scouting or recruitment community
