Purpose

The First Line Risk and Compliance Manager will be responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining effective risk management and compliance frameworks within a newly created part of the business. This new business unit will help millions of customers with the complexities of their impending retirement life stages, which will include advised and non-advised financial support. This role will be pivotal to the success of this new business and will involve working closely with various different stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Skills and Knowledge
  1. Strong knowledge and experience of Financial Conduct Authority regulations and compliance framework.
  2. Ability to work under pressure, in a fast moving environment, to tight deadlines.
  3. Ability to manage and influence complex stakeholders.
  4. Ability to identify, mitigate and manage risk.
  5. Ability to influence and drive change.
  6. High level of customer orientation.
  7. Desire to be a key player in building and developing a business.
  8. Ability to implement robust processes and procedures to satisfy regulatory requirements.
Experience
  1. Proven experience in risk management and compliance, within the financial services sector, ideally in a startup environment.
  2. Experience of dealing with regulatory frameworks, their mechanics and implications.
  3. Experience of the conduct and customer risk regime.
  4. Experience with SMCR and dealing with the FCA and PRA.
