Brown & Brown Insurance in Chesterfield is seeking a 1st Line Quality & Compliance Officer to drive the development and continuous improvement of internal controls for regulatory and conduct risk. You will operate as the first line of defence, reporting to the Regional Operations & Compliance Manager and ensuring fair customer outcomes.

The role involves conducting file audits, supporting training, managing DSARs, handling complaints, and analysing trends to prevent breaches.

Qualifications

Relevant previous work experience within a Financial Services FCA regulated business.
Ideally experience in general insurance.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Self-starter with initiative and the ability to work independently.
Attention to detail and strong investigative and analytical abilities.
Customer-focused with a service-oriented mindset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilités

Carry out file audits monthly across all offices to demonstrate regulatory compliance.
Identify issues from audits and coordinate training and remediation.
Implement risk and compliance processes to ensure good customer outcomes.
Investigate customer complaints and craft fair resolutions.
Maintain the complaints register.
Analyse trends and review training needs.
Report regulatory breaches, loss events and systemic issues; drive remedial actions.
Process DSAR requests within required timescales and maintain logs.
Investigate sanctions matches and flag non-matches.
Undertake projects and contribute specialist input to wider initiatives.
