Job summary

Currys plc in Truro is seeking a First Line Manager to lead the Delivery Centre team. This fixed-term 12-month contract is full-time, based on-site, with Grade 3 responsibilities and cross-functional coordination to ensure smooth customer deliveries.

You will coach delivery drivers, monitor performance, and influence operations. The role requires proven leadership, strong organisation, clear communication, and the ability to resolve logistical challenges while upholding health and safety

Qualifications

• You will need proven recent experience of leading teams and applying leadership styles and coaching methods.
• You will need a track record of developing teams to achieve customer-focused results.
• You will need strong organisational skills to implement plans and translate goals into actions.
• You will need excellent communication to liaise with departments and convey expectations clearly.
• You will need ideally experience in a logistics or transport environment.

Role overview:

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:

• Working closely with other internal/external departments to ensure smooth-running operation
• Communicating with Operations Manager, working cross functionally and supporting different work area teams as required

• A track record of developing teams to achieve customer-focused results
• Strong organisational skills to implement team and operational plans, prioritise workloads, and translate goals into actionable outcomes
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with different departments and clearly convey expectations and quality standards
• Ideally, experience working in a logistics or transport environment
