Express Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing technical support and service provider based in Nottinghamshire. Due to continued success, our client is now seeking an industry proven First Line IT Support Engineer to provide necessary technical support to their long-standing, nationwide clients.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about both technology and providing customer service as well as possessing a passion for resolving issues to ensure company standards are maintained.

  • Provide 1st line technical support to customers, resolving any user issues primarily via phone/email
  • Occasionally travel to client sites to support with hands‑on hardware/software repairs
  • Assist in the warehouse to locate and package IT hardware to send to UK customers
  • Identify trending faults and issues, and perform root cause analysis, maintaining technical documentation
  • Respond to issues raised via company’s ticketing system in a timely manner, and ensure all faults, fixes, updates and communication are logged
  • Occasionally assist on major support projects with the wider support team and IT Manager
  • Maintain customer service to ensure end‑users are clearly and concisely updated with progress in a friendly manner
Skills & Experience
  • Experience working within a 1st IT support role essential
  • Have working knowledge of Windows OS and Server (ideally 2022)
  • Experience working in an MSP environment desirable but not essential
  • Experience working with MS O365 Applications and Azure Cloud Services desirable
  • Basic knowledge of IT security and networking infrastructure and management
  • Possess interpersonal, customer service and communication skills on all levels
  • Experience supporting largescale hardware/software installations projects a bonus
