We are pleased to offer an 8a First Contact Physiotherapist post to join our established & award winning team of FCPs & Physiotherapists within the Locomotor service.
We are looking for candidates with advanced clinical practice musculoskeletal physiotherapy skills and extensive experience of leadership, supervision and teaching.
Our 8a FCP roles bring expertise to support band 7 FCPs and develop our service. You will be part of our large team of 8a FCPs and work closely with Locomotor service physiotherapists and advanced practice physiotherapists.
In conjunction with Locomotor service leads and other 8a FCPs, support the development of referral guidelines for MSK and MSK related conditions across primary care services, community, secondary and tertiary [specialist] services.
The post benefits from development support from our established team of Locomotor ESPs/APPs and FCPs.

Clinically as a band 8a First Contact Physiotherapist the role will include managing a FCP caseload within GP practices.
Candidates should possess level 7 skills and abilities as described within the FCP framework and have level 7 clinical experience acting as the first clinical point of contact for musculoskeletal patients.
The post will also provide teaching and staff development to band 7 First Contact Physiotherapists and leading clinical education within the PCN.
The post holder will provide supervision and mentorship to band 7 FCPs and contribute to the leadership of FCP provision in City and Hackney. This will involve working closely with GP's, practice managers and contributing to the development of the Locomotor FCP service within the PCN.
This post will also support the FCP lead in managing the FCP service provided to the PCN.
