Job summary

A popular theme park in Chertsey is seeking a First Aid Host to provide exceptional care to guests and staff. The role includes treating injuries at various locations within the park, maintaining medical records, and ensuring a clean First Aid Centre. Ideal candidates will have a First Aid at Work Qualification and experience providing first aid to both adults and children. Qualifications

What you'll bring to the team

Be the first to respond and keep the fun going at Thorpe Park! As a First Aid Host, you’ll be the first point of contact for guests and staff when injuries or illnesses occur. Your role is vital in ensuring every visitor enjoys a safe, unforgettable experience while supporting our world‑class attractions. Reporting to the First Aid Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional care across the park. As a First Aid Host, you’ll provide high‑quality first aid to guests and staff—whether in our First Aid Centre, at Amity Beach, or during special events. Your responsibilities include conducting company medicals, maintaining fully stocked kits, and ensuring our First Aid Centre is clean and ready at all times. Your quick response and professionalism help ensure every guest enjoys a safe, worry‑free visit and leaves with unforgettable memories.

Key Accountabilities
  • Treating and Assessing patients within your scope of practice alongside Thorpe Park policies and procedures.
  • Accurately completing all documentation relating to patients, equipment and near misses in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining a strong presence on park.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality is always maintained.
  • Actively participate in personal and environmental cleaning routines to ensure infection prevention and control standards are adhered to.
  • Achieve and maintain competence in all relevant skills and knowledge and actively strive to upkeep and grow your skillset.
  • Undertaking and completing all required in‑house training and maintaining competencies.
  • Conducting company medicals for ride operators in line with Occupational Health
  • Perform any other duties that may reasonably be requested of you in line with your skills, training and qualifications.
Qualifications & Experience

Essential Criteria:

  • First Aid at Work Qualification (Or equivalent recognised).
  • Experience of delivering First Aid in Adults and Children.
  • Experience of working effectively as part of a team.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience of working within the theme park, events or pre‑hospital environment.
  • Experience working with Children
  • Experience in minor injuries and illnesses.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to complete paperwork to exacting standards.
  • Ability to prioritise work schedule to make best use of time and resources.
  • Ability to deliver high‑quality patient experience and always ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Physically able to meet the demands of a First Aid Host.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, as part of a team and under the direction from Line Manager.
  • Able to remain calm and function under pressure in challenging situations.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive, unpredictable, and emotionally challenging and diverse clinical situations.
  • Excellent communication skills: liaison, negotiation, advocacy.

Additional Considerations

In particular, they must ensure that they follow safe working procedures for all work activities that they undertake, and they must not use any tools or equipment for which they have not been trained. Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are reported to their line manager and must cooperate with any investigation as appropriate.
