Job summary

Verso Recruitment Group in Cambridge is seeking a Firmware Test Automation Engineer to own the automated testing system (ATS). This hands-on role involves writing code, building tests, investigating failures, and collaborating with firmware engineers to keep development moving smoothly.

You will write C# tests, investigate failures, and help drive the robustness of the ATS. Bonus Python experience is welcomed; onsite work with a salary of £50,000 to £70,000.

We re supporting a brilliant engineering team who are looking for a Firmware Test Automation Engineer to take ownership of their automated testing system (ATS). This is a hands on role where you ll be writing code, building tests, investigating failures, and working closely with firmware engineers to keep development moving smoothly.

What you ll be doing

• Developing, maintaining, and improving the automated test system (ATS).
• Writing C# code to build new automated tests and enhance existing ones.
• Investigating failures from test runs and communicating findings clearly to the business
• Reviewing code, capturing requirements, and ensuring the system stays robust and scalable.
• Working closely with firmware engineers.
• Acting to drive the development of the ATS.

What we re looking for

• Professional experience writing C#.
• Background in software testing or hardware/embedded testing.
• Comfortable working with electronics/embedded systems.
• Bonus skills: Python
• Someone proactive, driven, and keen to take ownership.
