Fire Water Systems Maintenance Engineer

Location: Birmingham Area – Field Based.
Salary: Circa £45,000 (depending on experience).
Benefits: 24 days Holiday + Bank Holidays, Annual Profit Share + Overtime.
Contract: Full Time, Permanent (PAYE).

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Installing, maintaining, and servicing water mist solutions used in fire suppression systems.
  • Applying knowledge of fire prevention systems to ensure everything runs at peak performance.
  • Working across commercial sites, maintaining water pipes, pumps, and associated equipment.
  • Aiding with both reactive and planned maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
What Our Client is Looking For
  • Experience: At least 2 years of hands‑on experience with water pipes, pumps, or fire suppression systems in a commercial setting.
  • Skills: Proven work with large water pumps and fire suppression systems; experience with sprinklers is a plus.
  • Background: Ideally from a commercial mechanical background (installation and fixing of water pipes/pumps); electrical M&E experience is a bonus.
  • Location: Based within the Birmingham area.
  • Clearance: Must pass an enhanced Level 1 background check – a clean record is essential.
  • Driving: Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

  • Overtime: Paid at time and a half, subject to management approval.
