Job summary

London Fire Solutions is seeking a Compartment Fire Surveyor to support a growing portfolio of projects across the UK. You will conduct detailed compartmentation inspections, read floor plans, and provide firestopping solutions for housing associations, local authorities, contractors, healthcare providers, education establishments, and commercial clients.

Role requires a full UK driving licence, NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection (or equivalent), IFE Level 2+, and proven experience in

• Full UK driving license is required.
• NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection (or equivalent) is required.
• IFE Level 2+ certification is preferred.
• Proven experience in firestopping inspections and survey reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conducting detailed compartmentation inspections.
• Reading floor plans and compartmentation drawings.
• Measuring breaches and identifying service types.
• Dealing with residents and the public.
• Explaining firestopping breaches and providing firestopping solutions.

About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Compartment Fire Surveyor to support a growing portfolio of projects across the UK.

We work with housing associations, local authorities, contractors, healthcare providers, education establishments, and commercial clients, delivering high-quality passive fire protection services nationwide.

Role Responsibilities:

• Conducting detailed compartmentation inspections
• Ability to work in confined spaces such as loft areas
• High attention to detail
• Dealing with the public/residents
• Ability to mock up floor plans for loft compartmentation details
• Measuring compartment breaches and identifying service types
• Being able to read floor plans and compartmentation drawings
• Accurately explaining firestopping breaches and being able to Provide firestopping solutions

Role Criteria

• Full UK Driving License
• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection (or equivalent) for firestopping surveyors
• IFE certificate Level 2 +
• Proven experience in conducting firestopping inspections
• Strong understanding of current fire safety regulations and compliance standards
• Ability to produce clear, accurate survey reports
• Good written and spoken English
• Ability to work unsupervised
