Key Purpose of role :
To carry out the servicing fault-finding replacement and repair of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting in accordance with current British Standards and company procedures. The role also involves working with a variety of life safety and security systems including access control intercom systems and Nurse Call systems.
The role requires a strong commitment to customer satisfaction clear communication and the ability to confidently handle any situation on-site while maintaining compliance with all health and safety requirements.

Required Skills :
Proven background and experience working within the fire industry carrying out service maintenance and repair works. Experience working on both conventional and addressable fire alarm systems across a range of manufacturers. Strong first-time resolution and risk management skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Sound understanding and application of good installation practices in accordance with BS7671 where required. Comprehensive knowledge of Nurse Call systems of all types. Understanding of system integration between fire detection and other disciplines (e.g. interfaces plant shutdowns access control). Full understanding of BS5839 and detailed knowledge of Emergency Lighting systems in accordance with BS5266-1. Ability to work independently demonstrate initiative and remain resourceful in dynamic environments. Full UK driving licence.
