Overview

Scan Alarms and Security Systems are looking for a new experienced Fire & Life safety serviceengineer to join our ever expanding and specialist team working throughout Northern Ireland & Ireland. You will be responsible for the installation and servicing on a wide range of life systems such as: Fire Alarm systems, Aspirating systems, Disabled Refuge systems, Nurse Call systems and Emergency Lighting.

The standard hours are 37.5 hours a week Monday - Friday (optional overtime is plentiful, if you are keen to earn a bit more.)

Role Duties
  • Installation of fire detection and Aspirating systems, including emergency lighting, remote monitoring,
  • Disabled Refuge, Toilet Alarms and nurse call systems
  • To maintain and provide ongoing reactive maintenance.
  • Support customers and wider company operations, sales, administration and operations where required
  • Observe and adhere to company Health and Safety guidelines and contribute to a Health and Safety working environment
Requirements
  • Any additional capabilities or basic programming knowledge relating to any of the above systems would be advantageous. Training and development can be offered in these areas
  • Specific product knowledge of some or all the following manufacturers is desired:
  • Ampac and Kentec Knowledge
  • Advanced Electronics, HAES, Gent, Hochiki, Apollo, Vesda, Airsense, Honeywell, Wagner, Quantec, Ctec and Baldwin and Boxall
  • A proven ability to trouble shoot, identify and suggest appropriate course of action, specifically related
  • to issues and maintenance related to fire detection and alarm systems
  • Proven experience working in commercial & building site environments
  • City and Guilds 236 parts 1&2 electrical installation would be advantageous, or time served equivalent
  • 17th or 18th Edition Electrical qualification would be desirable but not essential
  • Respect for health and safety of both themselves, their colleagues, and the customer
  • Full UK driver's licence
