A leading facilities management organisation is seeking a Fire Safety Officer to ensure fire safety compliance across diverse portfolios, including high-risk nuclear environments. Applicants should possess a NEBOSH Fire Safety certificate and have experience in fire safety within facilities management. A willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland is required. Qualifications

  • Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) desirable.

Fire Safety Officer

Flexible location (UK travel required, including nuclear sites)

£55,000 salary + benefits

Join a leading facilities management organisation as a Fire Officer, ensuring fire safety compliance across a diverse portfolio, including high‑risk nuclear environments. This is a hands‑on role with national exposure, offering the chance to influence fire safety culture, support operational teams, and maintain robust compliance with UK legislation and nuclear sector standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain fire safety policies and procedures in line with UK legislation and nuclear regulations.
  • Conduct fire risk assessments and ensure timely mitigation of identified risks.
  • Oversee fire detection and suppression systems, ensuring maintenance and compliance.
  • Lead fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises.
  • Liaise with the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) and other statutory bodies.
  • Deliver fire safety training tailored to nuclear site protocols.
  • Support facilities teams with fire safety integration into maintenance and projects.
What We’re Looking For
  • NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Experience in fire safety within facilities management and/or high‑risk environments.
  • Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and nuclear safety protocols.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK & Ireland.
