Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: Starting Salary is: £46,142 (Level one) rising to £49,282 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

About the Role
  • Lead and manage fire safety and health & safety compliance across all sites, ensuring adherence to UK legislation and best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments, fire drills, and safety audits, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to staff on fire safety, manual handling, and general health & safety awareness.
  • Liaise with external agencies (e.g. fire services, HSE) and internal stakeholders to ensure effective safety management.
  • Maintain and update safety policies, procedures, and documentation, including incident reporting and investigation records, and ensure that all fire risk assessments are maintained and delivered effectively.
About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent) in Occupational Health & Safety and Fire Safety.
  • Proven experience in a health & safety management role, ideally within the public sector, facilities, or construction environments.
  • Strong knowledge of UK fire safety regulations, risk management, and emergency planning.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage staff at all levels.
  • Proficient in using safety management systems and reporting tools (e.g. RAMS, incident logs, compliance dashboards).
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
