Job description

Overview

This role provides an exciting opportunity to join the Health and Safety team as a Fire Safety Advisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical advice on a range of fire related issues and projects, and will advise and support the Senior Fire Safety Advisor in delivering the UHB service strategy for Fire.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on fire related issues and projects and advise and support the Senior Fire Safety Advisor in delivering the UHB service strategy for Fire.
• Work closely with the Clinical Service Boards and Capital Estates and Facility teams, ensuring they remain fully supported by Fire Safety expertise.
• Advise on all aspects of fire related risks and ensure that adequate management processes are in place for effective fire safety precautions.
• Undertake fire safety risk assessments for areas of responsibility and provide regular reports/submissions to senior management on fire related issues.

Location

You will be based at one of the main hospital sites within Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

Requirements

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
