Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Resilience team at Central London Community Health NHS Trust. We are looking for a motivated fire safety professional to join our Resilience team as a Fire Safety Advisor. You will play a key role in delivering fire safety support across the Trust, including training, inspections, and carrying out Fire Risk Assessments. Working closely with the Head of Fire, Health & Safety and Security, you will help ensure our compliance with the Fire Safety Order 2005 and NHS HTM guidance.

We are looking for someone who has a degree level education or equivalent experience and holds a recognised fire safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate or equivalent). With at least 2 years’ experience in a fire safety advisory/support role you will want to take ownership of the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver statutory and role‑specific fire safety training, including Fire Marshal and local drills.
  • Carry out Fire Risk Assessments and maintain accurate action plans.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to monitor compliance with Trust policy and HTM guidance.
  • Support fire incident investigations to ensure lessons learned are shared.
  • Provide practical fire safety advice to staff and managers across the Trust.

The role will seat within the Resilience Division which provides centralised support to the Trust for a range of services.
