Profile

An independent and expanding Fire Risk Consultancy, are currently looking to recruit a hardworking and self‑motivated Fire Risk Consultant to join their team. The successful candidate will be home‑based, working on multi‑storey commercial and domestic properties across the Home Counties area. The ideal candidate will hold industry‑recognised fire risk qualifications such as the NEBOSH Fire Safety / NEBSOH General qualification and experience carrying out fire drills, completing pre‑occupation surveys, fire risk assessments and creating site‑specific emergency evacuation plans. Experience & Qualifications

• Will ideally hold the NEBOSH Fire Certificate or NEBOSH Fire Conversion or NEBOSH general certificates.
• Ideally will be registered to an industry recognised body e.g. ISE / IFSM / IFPO / IFE.
• Extensive experience working within the Fire / Health and Safety industry, ideally hands‑on as a Fire Risk Consultant.
• Will have a solid consultancy and come from a technical background.
• Experience using industry‑relevant systems.
• Will have an eye for detail, and excellent working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation.
• Good communication skills.
• Competent in using the Microsoft Office Package.

The Role

• Undertaking pre‑occupation surveys, fire risk assessments, evacuation plans and site‑specific emergency plans.
• Working closely with Health and Safety / Management team to ensure all policies are being followed in line with ISO.
• Assisting in training of Risk Assessors.
• Undertaking fire drills when required.
• Liaising with clients following on from Risk Assessments, providing technical advice and answering queries.
• Producing detailed site reports to clients.
• Continuing to build excellent relationships with clients.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, in line with Health and Safety legislation.
• Providing technical support to the company’s clients.
