Job description

Due to current business requirements, this multi-disciplined company that enjoys a good reputation in providing various safety solutions including Hygiene, Asbestos, Fire, and Health & Safety to clients from all levels, is actively seeking the services of an enthusiastic, self‑motivated, conscientious and focused Fire Risk Assessor based in Newport and will include applications from Caerphilly, Cwmbran, Caldicot, Chepstow and the surrounding area.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • NEBOSH Fire Certificate or NEBOSH Fire Conversion (required).
  • Technician status with recognised bodies – IFSM/IFPO/IFE would be beneficial but not essential.
  • In‑depth knowledge and experience of undertaking fire risk assessments.
  • Previous practical experience working within this role and within other sectors, and a solid understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
  • Good educational background and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office package.
Key Role Will Entail:
  • Undertaking Fire Risk Assessments and Health & Safety Risk Assessments in commercial, industrial and residential sectors.
  • Managing fire plan drawings, fire drills, fire warden duties, extinguisher use, real fire training, briefings, and delivering training courses.
  • Delivering presentations and training.
  • Providing consultancy services concerning fire safety/risk.
  • Involvement with Health & Safety aspects of fire risk assessments.
  • Developing action plans.
  • Producing and writing comprehensive and accurate reports.
  • Developing a client base.
  • Dealing with issues effectively and appropriately.
  • Liaising with clients.

The successful candidate will be of smart disposition, confident, methodical and flexible, and be able to show competency in undertaking Fire Risk Assessments and work independently.
