We are sorry but we are unable to process your request for this position. Due to acquiring new and prestigious contracts in the South East, this multi‑disciplined organisation, providing a wide range of professional services including asbestos, health & safety and fire, is seeking a smart, self‑motivated and multi‑skilled Fire Risk Assessor/Health and Safety Consultant based in the Chelmsford area. Ideal candidates are based in Colchester, Basildon, Bishop Stortford, London or surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Must hold the NEBOSH Fire Certificate or NEBOSH Fire Conversion Technician status with recognised bodies – IFSM/IFPO/IFE preferred.
  • Good educational, consultancy and technical background in health & safety within the fire industry; experience in other industries beneficial but not essential.
  • In‑depth knowledge and experience conducting fire risk assessments on various properties (commercial, industrial and public sectors).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good client‑facing, people‑management and IT skills.
  • Well versed with health & safety procedures.
Key Role
  • Undertake fire risk and health & safety risk assessments in various industry sectors (commercial, industrial and residential).
  • Create fire plan drawings, organise fire drills, appoint wardens, manage extinguishers, conduct real fire training and briefings, deliver training courses.
  • Deliver presentations and training sessions.
  • Manage and develop the company’s client base.
  • Provide fire and safety guidance and investigate incidents.
  • Produce fire risk assessment reports and ensure compliance with health & safety legislation.
  • Deal with issues effectively and appropriately; liaise with clients and management regularly.
  • Participate in training and client engagement.
