Fire Protection Maintenance Manager / Permanent / Attleborough / Up to £55,000

Position 1 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and develop our Maintenance Department. This key role oversees the Maintenance Administration team, Maintenance Engineering team, and Maintenance Key Account Manager (KAM), ensuring high standards of performance and service.

The successful candidate will deliver efficient operations, drive continuous improvement, and build team capability to support growth. We're looking for a results-driven leader with proven experience in maintenance or engineering management, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to inspire and guide teams.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Management
  • Lead the Maintenance Admin and Engineering teams (three direct reports: Senior Coordinator, Senior Engineer, and KAM).
  • Coach and develop staff, ensuring efficient, high-quality maintenance delivery.
  • Support recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and best practices.
Operational Management
  • Oversee maintenance planning, coordination, and delivery for maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage schedules, KPIs, and reporting of maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Coordinator and Engineer on resource planning, documentation, and invoicing.
  • Ensure effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
Customer Relations & Contract Management
  • Act as the primary contact for maintenance clients, fostering strong relationships and resolving service issues.
  • Manage contracts, SLAs, and KPIs; assist with renewals and pricing approvals.
  • Review and approve maintenance quotations.
Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure all maintenance work meets HSE and company standards.
  • Maintain and update RAMS documentation.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
