Job summary

A leading engineering services firm is seeking a Fire Project / Senior Engineer in London. Responsibilities include installing and commissioning fire systems and some security systems. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in fire installations and strong communication skills. About Our Client:

Our client is a fast-growing fire and security specialist delivering major government and commercial contracts across the UK. With a strong project pipeline and a flexible, supportive structure, this is a company offering genuine long-term progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and commission fire systems (70%) and some security systems (30%) across government and commercial sites.
• Complete remedial works and system upgrades as required.
• Carry out weekly progress reports to the Project Manager.
• Work flexibly to accommodate night shifts, evening works, and occasional stays away from home.
• Proven experience in fire system installations and commissioning.
• Some exposure to security systems (CCTV, access control, intruder).
• Ability to work on large-scale refurbishment and upgrade projects.
• Strong communication, reporting, and time management skills.
• Willingness to travel and work non-standard hours when needed.
• No call-out rota
• Optional overtime: 1.5x on Saturdays, 2x on Sundays, 1.33x for evening work
• Company van (or car if preferred) with personal use
