A leading engineering consultancy in the UK seeks a Fire Engineer to work on real projects, implementing fire safety principles. The role involves investigating legislation, developing fire strategies, and working towards Chartered Engineer status. As a Fire Engineer at Arup you will be expected to understand and implement the principle of fire science on real projects via the engineering process (goals, objectives, building appraisal and hazards, design fire scenarios etc). You will take on the Total Fire Safety concept from client brief, through design and construction, taking account of the socio‑technical context and seeking to pre‑empt fire safety issues common at different stages of a project so that the end result delivers on the client brief.
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 + 4.5‑day week + private healthcare + professional development.
