Job summary

EDSB Ltd is seeking a Fire Door Inspector to travel regionally across the UK, inspecting fire doors and reporting findings via a tablet app. You will build professional relationships with clients and maintain thorough documentation while ensuring each inspection follows established procedures.

We welcome joiners or experienced Fire Door Inspectors. A full UK driving licence is required. BPSS clearance may be required. Working hours are 08:30–17:00 with a 30-minute lunch break.

Qualifications

• Recognised Fire Door Inspection qualification (FDIS, BRE etc)

Responsibilities

• Travel regionally to a variety of sites to inspect fire doors
• Carry out inspection of fire doors at each site in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner
• Use an app on the PDA (tablet) to follow a checklist to report on the status of each fire door
• Build professional relationships with all clients
• Maintain accurate and precise documentation of works completed
• Follow process to ensure each inspection is completed correctly
• Keep the company vehicle clean, tidy and presentable

We are now looking to recruit Fire Door Inspectors throughout the UK, who will be responsible for traveling regionally to a variety of sites to inspect fire doors.

This is a field based full-time role. Working in line with the current standards, the Engineer will also be expected to build professional relationships with our clients. Applications are welcomed from Joiners or experienced Fire Door Inspectors currently working within the Fire Protection and Service industry.

This role will include but not limited to the items below:
