Job summary

Cotleigh Engineering in Greater London is seeking a skilled Fire Door Carpenter to install and maintain fire doors and fittings for private residential blocks across London. You will work in teams on medium to larger projects, ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with fire safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven carpentry experience with fire door installations.
• Ability to work in residential blocks across Greater London.
• Must have own tools.
• References available upon request.

Responsibilities

• Install fire doors in line with fire safety regulations and ensure proper fitting.
• Inspect fire doors and identify deficiencies or non‑compliance.
• Repair and maintain fire doors, hinges, closers, seals, and glazing as needed.
• Test fire-rated hardware such as panic bars, hinges and locks.
• Collaborate with electricians/plumbers on projects involving fire doors.
• Provide guidance on regulations and best practices to clients and colleagues.
• Document installations, repairs, and inspections.
• Stay updated on regulations and attend trainings as necessary.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols on site.
