Job summary

Future Select Recruitment in Northampton is seeking a hardworking Fire Damper Engineer to join their Ventilation and Fire Safety team. You will inspect, test and log fire dampers and carry out remedial works in accordance with BS9999 guidelines, with a focus on safety and accuracy.

The role involves travelling to various sites, potential progression to supervisory or management positions, and a salary in the £26k–£36k range with training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a Fire Damper Engineer.
• NVQ Level 5 Fire and Smoke Damper qualification.
• Good knowledge of BS9999 guidelines.
• Willing to travel as required.
• Good literacy and numeracy.
• Proficient with IT software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect existing fire dampers.
• Test dampers to ensure compliance.
• Log fire dampers.
• Conduct remedial works (collar, link and TEK screw changes).
• Fit access panels.
• Highlight faults and recommend works.
• Provide technical updates to clients.
• Update site logbooks.
