Learner Skills Coach Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician Apprenticeship

Location: Home/hybrid with occasional travel and overnight stays

About the Role

A rapidly expanding, Ofsted‑rated Good training provider is looking for a skilled professional to deliver the Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician Apprenticeship (Level 3). With a laid‑back yet professional culture and a strong growth record, this organisation offers a rewarding environment for someone ready to transition from industry to education or to continue building their teaching career.

You do not need to have a teaching qualification for this role; we are looking for industry experience in fire and security systems.

This client is growing very quickly and there is a lot of scope to grow and develop.

In this role, you’ll support apprentices across a full training programme, combining technical expertise with mentoring and structured delivery. You’ll have the flexibility to work from home for planning and administration, with funded travel as needed to support apprentices on‑site or in workshop settings.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Deliver and assess learning in line with the Level 3 apprenticeship standard (ST0189)
  • Teach core skills in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire, emergency, and security systems
  • Support learners through theory, practical skills, and portfolio development
  • Contribute to internal quality assurance and learner progress tracking
  • Travel occasionally to deliver in‑person training or support sessions (fully funded)
What You Need
  • Solid industry experience in fire, emergency, or security systems (installation, commissioning, and maintenance)
  • Excellent practical hand skills and confidence to demonstrate technical processes
  • Strong communication and presentation skills suitable for guiding apprentices
  • Willingness to complete a fully funded teaching qualification (if not already held)
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff or apprentices is highly desirable
  • A flexible and organised approach to balancing teaching, admin, and learner support
